Treatment Process
Because no single approach is likely to work well, Elimilice combines elements of those that have proven most effective: potent but safe products, manual head lice and nit picking/nit removal, follow-up checks and head-checks of family members and others with known exposure to the person with lice.
Our
full head lice removal program includes:
- a preliminary check to verify the presence of lice and/or nits. (If the existence of a case of lice is confirmed, the treatment continues with):
- complete lice, nymph and nit removal (using both a premier lice comb and a proven nit-picking technique) in ONE VISIT
- a methodical hair and scalp quality control inspection (by a second technician) during the initial visit
- a follow-up head check within a 2 to 7 days of treatment
- the availability of an unlimited number of follow-up head checks, at a nominal fee, for up to 45 days post treatment (to provide you with ongoing comfort and confidence)
The core of our treatment plan, our head lice and nit removal method is a
multi-step process that begins with our safe, nontoxic products and is followed by a thorough head and hair-analysis that includes manual removal of all nits. Only by removing the nits from the hair shaft, a labor-intensive process that is best performed by a trained technician who knows what to look for, can head lice be effectively eliminated. Even the new generation of expensive prescriptions that rely solely on a hair rinse can leave live nits on the hair shaft.

Elimilice's non-toxic products and services help us to prioritize on our clients' feelings and concerns. We'll answer your questions, put you at ease and most importantly, eliminate the lice! We strongly suggest that
all family members be checked at the same appointment, if possible, as lice are often found spread among entire families.
Daycare, School and Camp Screenings
We will be happy to come to your daycare facility, school or camp to
screen all children and staff for head lice. This is an optimal method for the complete removal of lice from an environment. Please

PTA, School Nurse/Personnel and Other Presentations
School nurses and administrators plus PTA members should
inquire about our educational partnership program which includes
complimentary on-site head checks.
For those with a suspected case of head lice, we will perform a
head check only, and if evidence of head lice is present, we will provide you with an estimated price for treatment. (If Elimilice then performs the treatment, the head check fee will be waived.) Elimilice's approach to head lice removal is comprehensive. During the first
treatment visit, which is the lengthiest, all evidence of head lice is completely removed. An average female treatment is 2 hours and an average male treatment is 1 to 1 1/2 hours. During the second
follow-up visit, we perform a thorough inspection to ensure there has been no further exposure to head lice and that absolutely no evidence exists. Please
